Block Island Sport fishing Charters is gearing up for the 2009 season! Our new boat, the fourth Storm Petrel, is a twenty-six foot Ridgeway express. She is powered by a Caterpillar turbodiesel.
With twelve feet of beam, the new Storm Petrel is a beast! She is wide enough to modify the snap-roll that can be felt in boats with lesser beam. Storm Petrel is exceptionally seaworthy.
Most of Our Block Island fishing trips are half day(four Hour) charters for striped bass and Bluefish. Our favorites are offshore trips lasting between ten hours and two days. A full day trip finds us searching for sharks and school bluefin tuna. An overnight trip is usually a canyon trip, i.e. out to the edge of the continental shelf. This is quite an adventure and is only attempted when the weather is forecast to be very calm. On these trips we target Yellowfin, albacore and bigeye tuna, as well as mahi-mahi, wahoo, and even marlin.

  1. You must have come across a lot of fishing reports already that talk about sea foods. Sea foods are eatable animal and plants that are found in the sea. Sea fish, shellfish, seaweeds, shrimp, prawns, octopus etc. are few among the lot.
